Merrie England is a fine place to live
for Sir Robin of Sherwood - until, that is, Good King Richard goes off on
another crusade leaving his dastardly brother Prince John in charge of the
country.
The wicked prince, aided by his henchmen the Sheriff of Nottingham and his
Deputy Doug, make all the people suffer and Robin has to turn outlaw to save
them.
With the help of his best pal Little John, his spiritual adviser (and chef)
Friar Tuck and his Merry Men, Robin tries to bring justice and happiness
back to the land.
Can he win the fight against the Prince
and win the hand of the fair Maid Marion at the same time?
Can Little John fight off the advances
of Marion's servant, Nursie Nettles?
Can Friar Tuck find the perfect accompaniment
to his new invention, battered cod? He is, after all, a Friar!
Who is the mysterious pilgrim aiding
Robin's quest to bring King Richard home?
Will Robin ever work out why his Merry
"Men" always sing the high parts and are so good at needlework when his Lincoln
Green tights need mending? |
